You'll find a resource for my current and past musical sketches here including the acoustic / flamenco based / solo guitar (that's not really very flamenco-ish at all), From Home (guitar quartet with dance) and El Hombre Trajeado plus any other projects that come along.

Most of these projects have freely downloadable mp3's available. Why give it away? Two reasons. Firstly, because i can. Secondly, as a wise man once said "Obscurity is a far greater threat to authors and creative artists than piracy".

Most of the music is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 UK: Scotland License which basically means that you can remix, share, redistribute and reuse the music as long as you do the same with whatever you make. See the full license here.

I'm always up for doing live shows, contact me here if you'd like to book a show. Also, check out Will Play For Food if you fancy putting on a show in your own home.

Anyway, here's what's new :

Secret Glasgow show on Friday 10th September

Sun 5th September 2010

Untitled 4I will be playing alongside Esperi, Noiserv and Finn Lemarinel at a very special, intimate show in Glasgow on Friday 10th September.

I can't recommend seeing these guys enough, especially in the very intimate surroundings that we have planned. Add the fact that there will be some amazing food courtesy of Miss Halina Rifai and you've got what will hopefully be a very memorable evening for everyone.

Tickets are very limited and are available (alongside a 4 song downloadable EP) from here. Venue details and timings will be sent out after purchase.

Eastern PromisesFirst up is Eastern Promises in Glasgow on Saturday 2nd October at Platform in Easterhouse. Platform is a great example of how to do a local community hub properly. They always have a wide selection of international dance, music and theatre going on with an emphasis on getting the local community involved. Tickets cost £10 per night or £15 for both.
A specially run bus for each night leaves Mono at 6:30pm, returning after the last band and costs £4.

New release / upcoming shows

Wed 28th July 2010

First off, apologies for the lack of updates recently. Life has a funny habit of overtaking me sometimes.

New release

SparklehorseI'm very pleased to announce the release of a collaboration between myself and The Unwinding Hours. It is a cover of Spirit Ditch by Sparklehorse that was done for The Steinberg Principle's ongoing series of Sparklehorse, Vic Chesnutt and Elliott Smith covers in aid of Depression Alliance UK.

Mark Linkous was always an inspiration to me as someone that managed to channel his darker moments through music, something that I tend to do myself. His death affected me, first with sadness and a little bit of panic, but also with resolve.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Craig and Iain. I hope that I get the chance to do so again.

You can download Spirit Ditch from Bandcamp here.
