You'll find a resource for my current and past musical sketches here including the acoustic / flamenco based / solo guitar (that's not really very flamenco-ish at all), From Home (guitar quartet with dance) and El Hombre Trajeado plus any other projects that come along.

Most of these projects have freely downloadable mp3's available. Why give it away? Two reasons. Firstly, because i can. Secondly, as a wise man once said "Obscurity is a far greater threat to authors and creative artists than piracy".

Most of the music is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 UK: Scotland License which basically means that you can remix, share, redistribute and reuse the music as long as you do the same with whatever you make. See the full license here.

I'm always up for doing live shows, contact me here if you'd like to book a show. Also, check out Will Play For Food if you fancy putting on a show in your own home.

Anyway, here's what's new :

SSShtoom - Thursday 10th September

Fri 4th September 2009

shtoomI've just confirmed a show at The Flying Duck, Glasgow this Thursday as part of a new night called SSShtoom.

It's a cool concept, unamplified shows in the kitchen at the Flying Duck with an emphasis on using the space creatively, should be fun.

My Kappa Roots and John B McKenna are also performing, entry is a mere £2 and it all kicks of at 7:30pm. It should be done by 10:30pm, I hope to see you there.

Free, daytime library shows for the United Nations

Fri 21st August 2009

city of musicSo, apparently Glasgow is the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) City of Music this year. Nope, i didn't know either.

[UPDATE]
I've been informed that the City of Music status isn't an annual award, it's more like an ongoing official recommendation from UNESCO. There are a load of other shows happening as well on the weekend of my shows to celebrate the official launch. You can get the full details at the UNESCO City of Music page for Glasgow.

Anyway, I'll be doing not one but two free daytime shows on Saturday 12th September at Partick library and Woodside library as part of the events. Details as follows :

Partick library
305 Dumbarton Rd
Glasgow
G11 6AB
